Things to Consider When Doing a Yard Clean Up
Are you planning to clean up your yard? Here are some things to keep in mind.
Assess what it is your getting rid of. Check to see if there are any items that can be recycled? Waste such as concrete/brick/tile, soil or steel, when placed in a separate bin can be recycled thus including all of the bin contents weight.
If disposing of old drive ways or concreted areas where the concrete contains reinforcements, concrete can be placed into the recycle bin so long as the reinforcement is still imbedded in the concrete. If it is separate to the concrete it must not be placed in the recycle bin.
Large Tree Stumps
If tree stumps are larger than 500mm in diameter additional charges apply.
Age of Building
Consider the age of what you are disposing of. If removing an old garage or shed consider if the walls and roof are made from Asbestos or Fibro cement sheeting. Skip bins must NOT contain Asbestos or Fibro.
